ARA (Arachidonic Acid)

A widely present polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFAs) in human body, especially in brain and nerve tissues.

In the brain and nervous tissue, ARA usually accounts for 40-50% of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs). The figure can be as high as 70% in nerve endings and as high as 400mg/L in the plasma of regular people. ARA matters crucially to developing the infants’ brain and nervous system. The pre-birth and post-birth periods are critical to brain and vision development.
