It has a wide range of uses as a lubricant, resin, perfume and cosmetic ingredient. It is used as emollient, emulsifier and thickener in ointment.

Application

1-Octadecanol can be used instead of hexadecane alcohol, in cosmetics as cream, emulsifier, also used as rice insulation agent, reservoir covering agent, defoamer, polish, lubricant, intermediates, surfactants, gas chromatographic comparison samples, etc.
